Every Caregiver Needs a Rock
Emerald Wellness Center supports the holistic health and wellbeing of family caregivers. We offer holistic health coaching (1:1 & groups), distance reiki & bioenergetic healing treatments, workshops, and more, with an emphasis in burnout prevention, healing rituals, collective & self-care routines. We work with crystals, chakras, altars, and metaphysical modalities. We work with family caregivers in all stages of the caregiving experience, especially when self-care feels impossible. We specialize in coaching spinal cord injury caregivers, carepartners/spouses, youth & young adult caregivers, and caregivers who are educators/organizers.
All services are currently provided by our founding Executive Director, Emily Borg. Emily brings extensive personal experience as a current family caregiver for her partner Manny who has a spinal cord injury, and former caregiver for her grandma and uncle. She blends these experiences with professional training as a Certified Holistic Health Coach, Caregiving Consultant/Educator, and Reiki Practitioner/Teacher. Select workshops and group reiki treatments may include additional practitioners, family members, and friends.

We are in the process of applying for 501c3 nonprofit status. All contributions/donations go toward building our organizational capacity to serve, support, and advocate for/with family caregivers at low or no-cost.
Services & Programs
HOLISTIC HEALTH COACHING
Emerald Wellness Center offers virtual holistic health coaching for family caregivers, including burnout prevention and creating self-care routines, even when it feels impossible. As a health coach, my mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of my clients, especially when self-care feels impossible. I specialize in coaching carepartners/spouses, caregivers for loved ones with spinal cord injuries or other traumatic injuries, and youth & young adult caregivers.
CAREGIVINGÂ CONSULTANT
This service includes many possible supports & resources and will be customized depending on each caregiver's role and stage in the caregiving experience. Specialized consulting services include Family Emergency Planning, Healing Listening, and Creating Altars & Sacred Spaces. We use a variety of tools to support you in your caregiving journey. Please schedule a free consultation to learn more about how we may work together.
REIKI
Receive distance reiki and bioenergetic healing from a Level III Usui Reiki Practitioner/Teacher. I have been practicing reiki for over 12+ years and offer 30 min and 1 hour 1:1 virtual healing sessions, as well as Distance Reiki Attunement Workshops (coming in early 2021). I am certified in Crystal Reiki and work with crystals in all reiki sessions. I am also certified in Animal Reiki and offer distance sessions for animals (tech-free or via video/phone).
WORKSHOPS
Emerald Wellness Center offers free monthly virtual workshops that are open to the public.  We also offer customized virtual workshops and online courses for organizations and businesses seeking support for employees or program participants who are family caregivers and may benefit from holistic health coaching. Workshop offerings include: "The Caregiving Experience," "The Entrenched Caregiver," "Caregiving for a Partner/Spouse with a Spinal Cord Injury," and "Self-Care & Burnout Prevention." We facilitate conversations on themes including: Trauma & Shock,
Grief & Loss, Acceptance & Forgiveness, Healing & Growing, Spiritual Sustenance, Physical Nourishment, Emotional Clarity & Release.
